Independent enquiry into ‘far too lenient’ sentences handed down to dangerous criminals.

Additional Information

Following the case review of Lewis Gill, 21, who was convicted to just four years in prison over the death of Asperger's sufferer Andrew Young, with the presiding judge labelling the original sentence ‘reasonable’ I believe it’s now time for an independent review be carried out on the woefully lenient sentences judges are handing down to convicted murderers, rapists & violent criminals.

How long can we go on reading in the paper about another senseless murder of an innocent member of society, only to see the convicted punished by being locked away for a couple of years, despite the fact they have taken another human beings life?

It’s time to take a step back, and seriously review the unacceptable sentences judges are handing out within the justice system to those in our society who pose a grave threat to the population and who have carried out some of the most heinous of crimes.
