Petition Action

Protect the HS2 Part 2 planned alignment from future development.

Petition Details

Do not allow new roads, buildings etc. to block the already surveyed route for HS2 between Birmingham and Manchester. (And East Midlands).

Keep options open so that High Speed Trains to the north can be reconsidered in the future.

Additional Information

I do not believe that the benefits of HS2 have been fully considered. Also taking HS2 only half way - to Birmingham will not give half the benefits, but much less.

Investment in High Speed Trains should continue. e.g. Through trains from Birmingham and Manchester (and Leeds) to Paris and Brussels etc.
