Require publicly-funded gyms offer monthly, annual or pay-as-you-go memberships

Petition Details

I urge the government to legislate to require publicly-funded gyms to offer a variety of membership options, including monthly rolling contracts, pay-as-you-go plans, and 12-month commitments. This will ensure consumers have choice and flexibility in their fitness memberships.

Additional Information

Legislation mandating monthly rolling contracts will empower consumers as they can choose their fitness commitments. Especially important because 12-month contracts can be off-putting. Monthly contracts remove the barrier of a long-term commitment, which could help encourage more people to join gyms, promote consistent physical activity, and support better health outcomes.
