Accountants to be liable for incorrect tax rebate claims, not client

Petition Details

If an accounting firm submits incorrect tax rebate claims to HMRC, they should be accountable for repaying the money, and any interest charged by HMRC, if HMRC decides that those rebates should not have been paid.

Additional Information

This should apply going forward and for those already in this situation.
