2nd referendum after negotiations under Art 50 of the Treaty have been completed

Petition Details

On 23 June 2016 the UK voted narrowly, 51.9% to 48.1% to leave the EU but the details of the UK's post-exit relationship have to be negotiated under Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union. The final decision to leave after they have been completed must be taken by the British people.

Additional Information

The details of the UK's post-exit relationship with the EU are still unknown, such as what access the UK will have to the European Single Market, how the City of London will be affected (such as whether EU passporting of financial institutions will be lost), and what residual freedom of movement rights (if any) will remain. A final decision cannot be made until these and other details are known. The leave campaign are also now withdrawing commitments that were made (such as to the NHS).
