Petition Action

300,0000 could face upheaval and if social housing rent is increased.

Petition Details

In April 2017 the government are going to make people living in social housing pay up to 80% of the Market rate for rent. These are the people the safety net was made for because for whatever reason they cannot afford their own property. Please help make the Government see how unfair this will be.

Additional Information

300,000 people may be left unable to stay where they are. The upheaval for the very young and the very old will be immense. It is simply not fair. A huge majority of these people will be working and paying taxes etc. Google, Amazon and Starbucks meanwhile make huge profits and don't pay taxes. If they were made to pay then there would be no need for the Government to seek revenue elsewhere.
