Petition Action

All Supermarket chain outlets to follow cigarette display laws for large shops to help reduce smoking.

Additional Information

The Tobacco Advertising and Promotion Regulations 2011 restricted cigarette displays for large shops from 5 April 2012 but no not apply to smaller shops until 6 April 2015. We ask the government to amend the law so the main supermarket chains have to apply these regulations to their small outlets as well within three months. Large supermarket chains have the funds/resources to makle these changes quickly and do not require the extra time that single small shops may need.
