Petition Action

Call a general election to ratify any policies to be negotiated in Article 50

Petition Details

Call a general election to ratify the change of political mandate and policies subsequent to the EXIT vote, and prior to initiation of Article 50. The British people should be given the opportunity to demonstrate their support, or otherwise, of the principles to be negotiated on their behalf.

Additional Information

The British people should be presented with a broad and balanced political spectrum of EU EXIT policy options, that will be negotiated as part of Article 50 execution. To achieve this, all political parties must have the opportunity to put their new policy details and manifesto to the electorate via a constitutionally robust mechanism, in other words a General Election.
