Petition Action

Customer Rights for University Students

Additional Information

If you booked a flight and the plane was delayed, of poor standard, with the wrong food and landed in the wrong airport you are well within your rights to complain and sue.

You pay for a three year course, you are given a timetable but is it ever adhered to?
Are you treated as a paying customer?

Delayed seminars or lectures?

Or cancelled lectures and seminars due to striking?

Strikes on the marking of your work?

If you suffer from these things you are being cheated, you are not getting what you paid for.

The same rights that apply to customers should apply to students, we should have rights to demand better standards, ask for rebates when timetabled lecturers or seminars are delayed or cancelled and should be able to sue if strike action detriments our learning or graduation.

Stand up for your rights, you are a customer paying for an increasingly casual service, lets change this.
