Examination Boards Need to Be Truly Equal & Inclusive

For far too long examinations haven’t been truly equal and inclusive. Giving extra time to candidates with learning difficulties is merely a surface solution to the problem. Exam boards must provide separate question papers for adult and children with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. The language must be carefully selected and mustn't contain multi-facet questions that would otherwise unfairly hinder the candidate.

This e-petition has been rejected with the following reason given:

E-petitions cannot be used to request action on issues that are outside the responsibility of the government. This includes:

  • party political material
  • commercial endorsements including the promotion of any product, service or publication
  • issues that are dealt with by devolved bodies, eg The Scottish Parliament
  • correspondence on personal issues

E-petitions cannot be used for freedom of information requests.
