Petition Action

Force all shops to close on boxing day, making Christmas a public holiday.

Petition Details

Bring back our britain, make a better Britain for all with an enforced public holiday at Christmas which allows workers time to spend with their families. Retailers do not save lives, do not provide protection and are not necessary needed to open on boxing day!

Additional Information

Working in retail at xmas is bad enough, with the long hours, an unnecessary shopping day which rightfully should be an enforced holiday and respected rightly so, a time upon which people can reflect, spending time with friends and family! Greed is the reason most companies open and it should be debated. Family values and traditions should be respected. Let us celebrate and respect the tradition of Christmas, and make Britain great once again.
