Petition Action

Free Leisure Centre Facilities for 0-16 year olds.

Additional Information

Proposal:
*Allow 0-16 year olds free access to all activities at government run leisure centres (time tabled scheduled).
*Under 12's accompanied by a responsible paying adult
*A percentage of each facility reserved for regular paying adults
*Free coaching courses during holiday periods (Potentially Volunteer Run)

Benefits:
*Centres generate more income through frequent use
*Crime reduces as teenagers who may have committed a crime will now have something better to do. Youth Crime costs the government £190 Million per year increasing to £1.2 Billion for 16-24 year olds.
*Leisure activities become affordable to low earners
*NHS costs reduce as public health increases through regular exercise. Obesity alone costs the NHS £4 billion per year, this cost is rising.
