Honour for Mr Gareth Malone (Choirmaster and Broadcaster)

That HM Government formally recognises the hard work and dedication of Gareth Malone, who has touched the lives of many by teaching them, and giving them the confidence, to sing.

Gareth was responsible for the opening piece at the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on 12 November 2011, where a choir of women married to military service personnel sang in front of the nation after having only been formed a short time before.

Gareth should be recognised for his services to choral singing/music, broadcasting, and for having such a positive effect on the lives of many people.
