Insulting a judge or order

Additional Information

We wish an amendment to Parliamentary Privilege making it unlawful for an MP to directly, knowingly and intentionally disrespect the words of a court judge spoken whilst in a court of law.

For example if a judge makes a ruling and an MP makes it clear that they are going to defy the ruling. The current system is open to abuse.

We understand the nature of Parliamentary Privilege and why it needs to exist. An MP needs to have freedom of speech - but not freedom to insult or to defy the orders of a court judge.
