Introduce a scheme of biometric/photographic National Identity Cards

Petition Details

Introduce a scheme of biometric/photographic National Identity Cards for UK Citizens and Residents. The UK is currently seen as 'easy' for 'health holidays' and other non-entitled use of the NHS. Benefit fraud is rampant as is illegal immigration.

Additional Information

Inspection of ID cards would immediately determine an individual's 'right to service' and easliy make denial of service an easy decision. Additionally it would assist in detaining illegal immigrants. Photographic Driving Licences could be assimilated into being biometric ID cards as these are carried as a matter of course in any case.
