Petition Action

Introduction Of Animal Abusers Register in the UK

Additional Information

Animal abuse is on the increase. The people of the UK want the Government to introduce a system like they do for Paedophiles, where the abuser is put on a name and shame register, with a photograph of the offender attached and banned from owning any animal for life.
A simple ban from keeping animals for a few years does not deter these people from re offending.
They need to be made an example of and know that there are severe consequences for harming any animal.
They should also serve a minimum prison sentence of twelve months alongside the lifetime ban and their name on the animal abusers register.
And a minimum fine of £1000 for causing unnecessary cruelty to any animal.
