Petition Action

Lead by example against dishonesty

Additional Information

We, the undersigned, welcome the Prime Minister's recent comments in the wake of the recent riots, regarding zero tolerance against dishonesty.

We therefore urge him to lead by example, to set a standard for the rest of the country by taking a stand of zero tolerance against the documented and admitted dishonesty with regard to expenses of the following ministers still currently serving in his government:
Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Education;
Alan Duncan, MInister for International Development;
Andrew Lansley, Secretary of State for Health;
Oliver Letwin, Minister of State at the Cabinet Office;
George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer;
David Willetts, Minister for Universities and Science.

We urge the Prime Minister to abandon the inflammatory hypocrisy of taking one attitude towards a looter of £3.50 worth of bottled water and another towards the fraudulent claimant of £7000 in expenses.
