Petition Action

Lower the voting age to 16 for referendums

Petition Details

Due to the recent EU referendum result to leave, which was made up of 58% of 65+ and only 24% of 18-24 years old. I know that if the voting age for referendums was 16 like the Scottish referendum the result would have been a lot different.

Additional Information

Referendums effect 16-17 year olds more than anything so why are we restricted from having a say for something that will dictate our future.
