Motoring Offences

Additional Information

For year’s people have been committing serious offences while driving vehicles and the punishment they received has often not been strong enough.
Should new levels of punishment be introduced that could make people think twice, for example;

If a driver were convicted of causing a death under any motoring circumstances, then the punishment would be a term in prison of 20 years.
If a driver is convicted of causing a disability, then the punishment would be a term in prison of 3 years and their property would be sold (to the maximum of £20,000), with the funds going to help the disabled person(s).

These punishments would be set and could not be altered by anyone, which would mean once convicted the punishment is automatic.
