Reduce energy bills

Additional Information

OFGEM have no control over the prices charged by the big six energy companies so it is down to the government to make a change.

In a country that is meant to be 'fair' it is astonishing that so many people are suffering in fuel poverty whilst a few people are making a disgusting amount of money.

The big six have made £3.3 billion in profits since 2010 with the average home seeing a 29% increase in bills.

The government spends money trying to help people in fuel poverty. If the energy prices weren't so high in the first place there would be no need.

Thousand of people die each winter from the effects of being cold and going hungry. The NHS spends millions treating people who are physically affected by being in fuel poverty. The suffering and strain on a whole nation is caused by a few very rich people making themselves even richer. It is criminal to be told to expect further increases. It is unjust, unfair and inhumane and prices need to be reduced.
