Stop having to pay for childcare straight away but have instead a Government Loan to pay it back
The Government issues lots of loans for various schemes. It does not however offer one for childcare. The average cost of childcare is now over £100 a week. For a child under three who are not eligible for a free 20 hour nursery place yet, it works out to be too expensive for a lot of families to work. However if there is an interest free loan to pay back over 10 years. It can be a lot cheaper for example:
If a parent goes back to work when the baby is six months. The childcare cost up to 3 years would be on average £7800 (this is not including holiday). However if there was a loan the cost per week would be £15 a week.
