Petition Action

Stop the Daily Mail from exploiting the Philpott children's case for political purposes

Additional Information

We the undersigned petition for press regulation.

A few hours after the Philpott verdict, the Daily Mail is already exploiting this tragic and heartbreaking case to attack the welfare state in the UK.

We believe that the Daily Mail's headline 'Vile product of welfare UK' is an insult to the memory of these poor children. It is also completely disrespectful to the many loving and caring parents/carers in receipt of state benefits in this country.

Such headlines are misleading and unacceptable. The public is entitled to know the truth.
