UK Needs A Maritime Patrol Aircraft
The United Kingdom is an island nation that needs protection from drug and arms runners, we have Royal Navy ships and submarines that benefit from the anti-submarine warfare capability and a large area of responsibility for search and rescue that cries out for a modern fixed wing aircraft.
This petition is to ask the UK government to reconsider its decision to scrap the MRA4 programme and ask Airbus to build an MPA using the wings from the MRA4 and the body off A330. Therefore putting th UK back as the leader in Maritime Patrol.
