Understanding Rioting Children
Actually it is not riot, race, class, poverty, a demonstration or even thieving, its pure excitement, the boys love it, running from the police and feeling alive! The best game in town. Wrong etc... but history tells us repeatedly that this is all as old as time, why are we still amazed at this entirely normal human behaviour? Dont even demonise them, they are not scum and they will be indistinguishable members of our big society in 10 years time, and eventually proudly tell their grandchildren of the day they outfoxed the Met.
Action required: Nothing, fix everything up and just understand.
