Keep All of the Formula One World Championship On Free To Air (Ideally On the BBC)

Additional Information

We the undersigned are firmly of the opinion, that the Formula One World Championship should be put on the "Crown Jewels" list of sports events and ideally on the BBC.

We hold this opinion because:-

1) The United Kingdom has generated more Fromula One Drivers' World Champions, who have won the world championship more often than any other country.

2) Eight of the twelve teams are based in the UK.

3) Motorsport contributes £5 billion to the UK economy, employing 50,000 people in high skilled engineering jobs.

5) Television viewing figures averaging at around 4.5 million and peaking at round 6 million and growing.

All of the achievements would be put at risk if the Formula One World Championship was not is not available exclusively on a free to air broadcaster (ideally on the BBC).
