Petition Action

Reinstate conscription, all youths (16yr olds?) must serve a year in the armed forces or some form of public service before eligbility for benefits

Additional Information

Make it compulsory for youth at a certain age such as 16 to serve the government and the country in some means, ideally the armed forces.
This will provide youth with discipline and direction which may be otherwise lacking in the home. Whilst being trained they may learn a trade which could be continued following the year service.
The government would recieve a cheap labour and society a service.
Upon completion the youth are then eligible and have earned the right to recieve benefits from the state.
