Abolish E-Petitions
Since e-petitions were introduced, they have been mostly used be minority interests to project the image of being more popular than they actually are and getting onto the political agenda. This is not what government should be listening to.
Further, if Members of Parliament were doing their jobs and speaking to their constituents regularly, they would get a much better picture of what the public cares about.
Therefore, we petition the government to abolish e-petitions and get MPs back out on the doorstep.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
