Unemployed should work in the community to receive benefits
Any persons that want to claim unemployment benefits should be made to work part time in their communities.
Work would would involve duties such as clearing the streets of chewing gum, cleaning graffitti, picking up litter, painting and repairing council run property etc. Work should involve doing goood for the community.
This would give the unemployed people new skills and a purpose plus as it would only be part time, they could still continue their search for paid employment.
If they don't turn up for community work, then they lose 'pay' for the time of absence.
