Increased tax on salary for those convicted in riots
Coinciding with the petition to withdraw (or cut) benefits from those convicted in the riots across the UK, I propose charging those convicted who are in work, an increased tax on their salary. This tax could then be used to cover the public costs generated by the riots with funding also going to help the businesses that have suffered.
Furthermore this tax could eventually be extended to anyone convicted of criminal activity, in order to re-cover their costs to the public
