Petition Action

Take legal action against the French Govt to secure free movement of goods.

Petition Details

French Govt. failed to prevent strikers from unlawfully interfering with the lawful movement of goods between the UK and EU Members.

French Govt. failed to prevent persons breaching security controls at Eurotunnel thus preventing the lawful movement of goods between the UK and EU Members.

Additional Information

The above petition details are founded on the inaction of the French Government to comply with its EU Treaty obligations under Articles 34 and 35 of TFEU and Articles 28 and 29 of the EC Treaty.

The loss of revenue to the United Kingdom and other EU Member States is substantial. The current situation should not be allowed to continue through the inaction of the French Government to uphold common principles of national and EU law.
