Make teaching about non-heterosexual relationships and sex compulsory in schools
Schools are required to teach Sex and Relationship education to students. However, many schools to ignore any LGBT+ issues.
Making the teaching of these topics mandatory in secondary schools will help reduce the widespread misinformation about LGBT+ relationships and greatly benefit this community.
The exclusion of this topic can contribute to the stigmatisation of LGBT+ communities because they feel ignored and many of their peers are misinformed.
Another issue is the lack of information on the topic of homosexual sexual intercourse. Although students are taught how to have heterosexual sex safely, many younger members of the LGBT+ community are unaware of the risks involved in non-heterosexual intercourse or how to have sex safely.
