call for a referendum to ask whether the House Of Lords should be abolished
The House of Lords (HOL) comprises over 800 unelected members who can claim a £300 per day. The HOL costs £87m. annually. The PM is shortly expected to appoint yet another group of Tory supporters, some of whom have made large donations to the party. The HOL has no place in a modern democracy.
