Stop graduate medics/dentists having to self-fund part of their first year.
In 2000, the government introduced 'accelerated' medicine/dentistry courses for graduates, in order to help combat a shortfall in these professions.
We propose that student loans are available to cover the entire first year fee amount, given the high chance of these loans being repaid.
*Students must self-fund £3465 in first year
*Poorer applicants must delay application/rely on family
*System unfairly benefits wealthier applicants
*Limits number of talented applicants, reducing standards
