Ensure quality of Healthcare provision
South East Hampshire area is witnessing one of the fastest population growth in the country due to a huge increase in Housing Development. Provision will be in excess of 80,000 new homes in the course of the next 20 years or so.
The Queen Alexandra Hospital at Cosham which services the main healthcare needs of the area is under immense strain especially their Accident and Emergency department with ambulances queueing up not just through the winter months but throughout the year. There must be correlation between developers, planners and the local Clinical Commissioning Groups to ensure healthcare provision is not eroded to such a point local residents are not able to access healthcare in a timely way.
