Scrap percentage pay rises as they just widen the gap between rich and poor.
Percentage pay rises are largely responsible for the economic crisis and just serve to make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions that ask clearly for the UK Government or Parliament to take action on something that they are responsible for. We're not sure what you mean by "percentage pay rises" in this case.
If you are concerned about pay in the public sector, you could start a petition calling for the Government to take a specific action in relation to public sector pay. If you are concerned about private sector pay, you could ask for legislation to control this.
