Prosecute police officers, councillors & officials who helped cover-up grooming
Neglect & Misconduct in Public Office must become a statutory offence used to prosecute officials who ignored grooming evidence. The scale of abuse recently exposed only occurred because officials covered-up evidence as they prioritised considerations over multiculturalism, reputation & budgets.
Examples from Prof Jay report:
Home Office researcher hand delivers letter to Chief Constable detailing abuse, District Commander & Council Officials warn her never to do this again
Social care assess child as ‘no risk’ despite dad detailing abuse & identifying abusers
Pakistani Cllrs block investigations, they have yet to be held responsible
CID insists 12 yr-old is consensual with abuse gang, investigation stopped
Victim found in house with abuse gang, only the girl is arrested for being drunk

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure what you would like the UK Government or Parliament to do.
A decision to prosecute is not a matter for the UK Government or Parliament.
Parliament can change the law. If your petition clearly asked for a change in the law, we could be able to accept it.
