Educate Young Offenders
Young offenders committing crimes of violence, robbery and drug dealing should automatically receive the maximum possible sentence.
This sentence can be reduced by a fix amount of time relative to the levels of formal qualifications they pass through colleges built into the prison system.
The majority of young offenders display low level of of education and lack qualification that makes them employable.
Currently the main education available within the prison system is how to become a better criminal, give young offenders the opportunity to leave the prison system with greater hope than they entered it.
