Petition Action

Re-categorise cannabis as a class C drug and allow its use for medical purposes

Petition Details

The latest response to the legalisation of cannabis is insulting. If it so dangerous then why is cannabis legal in the USA and other countries in Europe?

If you have no intention to legalise then at least re-categorise so people who can benefit from its use can do so without fear of prosecution

Additional Information

The prohibition of cannabis in the UK contravenes the following Articles of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948 Treaty to which we are a Party: 1, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 16, 18, 21, 25, 26, 28, 29 and 30.

The governments stance on the matter is archaic, we demand the same human rights already granted to those in more forward thinking countries.
