Community Service for Benefits
If people are to receive unemployment benefits from the taxpayer, then they should be required to serve the community that is supporting them through community service.
This would result in:
1) The individuals who are in receipt of a benefit becoming a contributing member of society,
2) A more positive view of those receiving benefits from those who provide it (the tax payer),
3) The establishment of a work ethic which is required for one to move from being unemployed to being employed, and
4) A lower likelihood of mischief.
