Ban alcohol and tobacco for the same scientific reasons marijuana is banned
The government rejected the call for marijuana legalization because "Substantial scientific evidence shows cannabis is a harmful drug that can damage human health."
Given there is equivalent evidence showing that alcohol and tobacco is actually more harmful, then it too should be banned.
Alcohol is more harmful than heroin or crack when the overall dangers to the individual and society are considered, a study in the Lancet.
