Stop licence fee money going to non-community sports
The Government in the next BBC Charter or Licence Fee review point should prevent licence fee money being spent on sports that spend less than 10% of their income (broadly defined) on community sports outside their elitist recruiting structures (outside of Academys etc).
The listed events mechanism and reducing the number of bidders for rights gives the government substantial leverage on sports that cravenly seek TV money.
The BBC Licence fee is highly regressive, there is a moral obligation to spend it in a redistributive way.
