To reconsider the DECC FIT review in parliament to stop 30000 job losses
DECC intend to reduce the FiT generation tariff for solar to levels that will not sustain any business model. The industry including manufacturers cannot lower prices to meet these levels. Many companies will go into liquidation with the subsequent losses to the treasury in taxes.
Our group which includes a county council provides fully funded solar PV systems for schools and colleges.
Finance body receives 4.5 % per annum school receives free energy and a small surplus to help towards critical services. Supplier is on a 5% net profit educational workshops are provided allowing the students to participate in modelling the schools energy use and reductions.
A reduction of FIT by 30 to 40% is achievable with cut backs all round any more makes the scheme unviable.
