Compulsory education days in primary and senior school awareness of disibilities
As a person who has been discriminated and bullied due to disabilities, I would like to introduce laws that would ensure that all children from primary school age 8 upwards to senior school would have informal disability awareness days where they would learn to be more understanding and tolerant
I would like to see children from primary age through to senior school age receive informative lessons in understanding children and adults with a wide range of disabilities, they would learn the importance of accepting others with various abilities as well as learning the importance of inclusion and not segregation, learning how negative comments and views can be wrong and the impact.
Please see Reflections campaign for an idea of what I am trying to achieve.
