Petition Action

Debate the effect on the refugee crisis of UK's role in arming sectarian groups.

Petition Details

The UK are partially responsible for this crisis through policies of training and arming sectarian groups, to combat perceived security threats. Repeatedly, those arms have been turned against us and become the threat we sought to destroy, causing the death and displacement of civilian populations.

Additional Information

The evidence for this is freely available through media and internet sources and can be confirmed by anyone prepared to spend an hour researching. The Independent and Guardian newspapers have run multiple stories on this subject. Alternatively, the documentary 'Bitter Lake' is a good introductory source to western interference in the middle east and its impact.
