Establish a system of Direct Democracy in the United Kingdom.

Petition Details

The current system of "representative" government is unfair and undemocratic. The UK would benefit from a system of direct democracy, similar to the Swiss model, which would give citizens the opportunity to vote on issues which affect them.

Additional Information

Direct Democracy is the only true democracy. The chasm between public opinion and government policy is huge (and growing wider). Putting a cross on a piece of paper once every five years is not democracy.
