Introduce a cap on the portfolio turnover of funds.
The DWP and FCA are consulting on the disclosure of transaction costs by the funds of workplace pensions. Investors should not have to be concerned with such costs. Moreover disclosure is largely ineffective in reducing costs.
Portfolio turnover for many funds, such unit trusts is far too high, sometimes over 100%. This has a harmful effect on fund performance.
