Stop the new doctor's contract being imposed, return to negotiations with BMA

Petition Details

Stop the new contract which is going to be imposed on NHS non-consultant doctors in England, and instead return to negotiations with the BMA in order to avoid the threat of strike action. This new contract holds majors risks to both patient safety and to doctor’s psychological well-being.

Additional Information

On 13 August 2015, the BMA decided not to re-enter contract negotiations for junior doctors. This was because the BMA held firm to their negotiation points which can be found in the link below.

On 15 September 2015 the UK Government announced it will impose a new contract on junior doctors working in England from August 2016.
