To ensure holiday peak prices are lowered for state school teachers.
Teachers cannot take time off work during the term and if they could, young people would not be getting a quality education. But, this means they have to pay extortionate prices during peak times in order to go away. They have no other option; holiday firms and airlines must lower their peak prices.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure whether you would like state school teachers to have a special entitlement to lower holiday costs, or whether you would like peak prices to be lowered for all.
Decisions about holiday prices are a matter for the individual companies concerned, not for the Government or Parliament. If you would like regulation to be introduced to achieve what you are asking for, you could start a petition asking for that.
