Punish rioters convicted of assault on Firemen or ambulances

Additional Information

Ministry of Justice should recognize a new crime, and introduce more severe penalties for, rioters convicted of assaulting, petrol bombing, or impeding Fire, Ambulance or Paramedical crews, or their vehicles. These public servants put their lives at risk to save other people or their property. They should be properly protected while doing their jobs. Sentencing options should include prison, fines to the value of the property lost by the rioter’s actions, loss of benefits, student loans and housing as appropriate
