Change the name of type 1 diabetes
Type 1 diabetes develops when the insulin-producing cells in the body have been destroyed and the body is unable to produce any insulin, so insulin has to be injected via a syringe/pump several times a day in order for them to survive and is constantly confused with type 2 diabetes which is curable
Type 1 HAS NO CURE
Type 1 is an AUTO IMMUNE DISEASE
Type 1 is FOR LIFE
Type 1 Diabetics rely on INSULIN TO LIVE
Type 1 Diabetics need to TEST BLOOD GLUCOSE & COUNT CARBS every time they eat
Type 1 Diabetics CAN EAT ANYTHING
Type 1 is NOT treatable with TABLETS OR DIET
Please, help change the name! Let's remove the stigma of Type 1 just because it has Diabetes in its name.
